Google announced last week its new frontier model, Gemini 4 Carbon, calling it “our strongest model with state-of-the-art cybersecurity and long-horizon capabilities.”
Gemini 4 Carbon will launch at the same introductory price as Argon at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input tokens priced at 95% off the input token price.
The search giant disclosed that during the pre-release testing period, it is engaging with the U.S. government’s voluntary checking process and will make the model available to a subset of cyber defenders, gradually expanding access to additional trusted partners through its Fairwind Program.
According to Google, Carbon sets a new state of the art on popular exploitation benchmarks.
